This is suppose to be a beautiful section of Austria. Unfortunately, it was so rainy that all we did is drive through the two towns. This gallery shows you some of what we saw as we drove around.
Sankt Gilgen is a picturesque village by the Wolfgangsee in the Austrian state of Salzburg, in the "Salzkammergut" region. Mondsee is a town in the Vöcklabruck district in the Austrian state of Upper Austria located on the shore of the lake Mondsee. The town is home to the historic medieval Mondsee Abbey.
