By coincidence, on the day that our tour was traveling between Belfast and Londonderry Esther's great nephew was getting married in the small town of Maghera. We were able to leave out tour, take a bus to Maghera, attend the wedding and continue by bus to our tours hotel in Londonderry. It was a wonderful opportunity to attend the wedding, we had a great time and I know Esther's family really appreciated our being there.
Notice the first photo....we were dropped off by the bus at this bus stop with no phone, no directions and nothing in site. We had no idea even in which direction to start walking. The only other person that got off the bus with us was a young girl. Fortunately, she was being picked up by a friend. When he arrived, the friend graciously offer to take us to the hotel where we were to meet the family before the wedding. The hotel was not that far from the bus stop, but it certainly saved us from a "not knowing what to do" problem. It was a wonderful gesture on their part and he refused to take any money for his effort. They were a very nice couple!
